Kiyama Town is located in the eastern part of Saga Prefecture. Two-thirds of the town is mountainous, making it a very good environment for raising bees, surrounded by natural trees. “Miyoshi’s Hyakka Honey” is made from the nectar of natural trees in Motoyama.
Hyakka honey is a blend of honey produced by bees in an environment filled with a variety of mountain flowers.
The base flower of Miyoshino’s hyakka honey is the goby. During the short period from mid-May to mid-June, when the goby flowers begin to bloom, the bee swarms are nurtured vigorously and the honey is harvested all at once.
Because the honey is made mainly from goby nectar, you will experience the clean sweetness of goby nectar and the natural, not artificial, woody aroma and flavor. You will feel the accents of flowers other than goby in that flavor as you continue to eat it. Recommendation. (Haze is Kyushu’s leading source of honey)
