Tofu is made from 100% domestically grown soybeans with no additives other than bittern (no defoaming agent used), resulting in a traditional tofu with the concentrated flavor of soybeans.
The tofu is processed using proprietary technology to achieve a meat-like texture.
It is seasoned with soy sauce, sugar, and miso to suit Japanese tastes.
The soy sauce is made from wooden vat soy sauce from Yamaka Soy Sauce in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, specially made for TOFU MEAT with no additives. Organic brown sugar is used for the sugar. All other seasonings are also additive-free. No synthetic seasonings such as amino acids are used.
It is pre-seasoned and can be eaten as is, but can also be used as an alternative meat in any ground meat dish.
Because it is a frozen type, it does not require time and effort to rehydrate, and can be loosened and used immediately in just the amount needed.
